Ascension Training Systems offers one on one coaching and small group personal training. Founded by Scottsdale Personal Trainer Shane Lamers, Ascension Training Systems (ATS) specializes in weight loss / bodyfat reduction and strength training programs. In 2005, Shane completed 500 hours of coursework and received his diploma from the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI), an accredited program through the Arizona Board of Education. Eventually, he became certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Fitness Nutritional Specialist (NASM FNS). His most recent accomplishments include completing the Level 1 workshop and Level 2 Coaching program through the Training For Warriors system.

Shane possesses over 9 years of training experience ranging from one on one coaching clients to large group bootcamps. He has trained clientele ranging from: the 10 year old athlete getting ready for an upcoming basketball season, the 87 year old client rebuilding strength and functional movement to improve their quality of life, and the bride-to-be that needs to lose a final 20 lbs to fit into her wedding dress.

Getting started with your personal training or group fitness program

During each consultation, we will: go over your health and injury (if any) history, previous or current experience with fitness, perform a body weight squat assessment, test flexibility and mobility, and go over goal setting and answer any questions you may have.
